had NAPFA test in school just now. one of the toughest i've ever been in. here's what happened and also the results.
Standing Broad Jump, 242cm - B
my frens were all like woaaahhhhh. haha. im sure they havent seen a short guy jumping far. who says short guys are useless? well, im here to prove to all that even a short guy can jump far.
Sit and Reach, 46cm - B
just a normal routine. my previous one was like 42cm. i can say i did improve. haha.
Shuttle Run, 9.11secs - A
required to get an A is 10.2secs but i smashed it into pieces by setting my 1st timing since primary school which is lower than 10secs. Nike Mercurial Vapor shoe i was wearing gave a little advantage. its light and responsive. that explains why i had the fastest time among the others. haha.
Sit-Ups, 57 - A
targeted 60 eventhough 42 is enough to get an A. juz 3 more and i would have reached my goal but the time keeper shouted 1 minute already. haha. and now my abs are aching abit but not as much as like those secondary school days. i have stronger abs maybe? haha.
Pull-Ups, 11 - A
perhaps the most exciting station ever. here we can see who will suffer in NS. haha. and also a chance to prove that a small guy like me is more superior and stronger than those who are bigger than me. pity looking at most of my friends who cant even do 5 pull-ups. i wish i could help but im powerless. haha. to get an A, i must do more than 10. so yup, i did what im supposed to do. than one of the teacher there said i shouldnt have any problems in NS later coz i can do 10 or more. they say NS will train us to do double than we can right now. so its expected that after i end my NS, i should be able to do between 20-22. yay! haha.
2.4km Run, 10mins 29secs - B
last but not least, the most demanding of all. haha. started off in 3rd but halfway through i dropped to 8th till the finish line. shit i should have gotten an A because its stated that in order to get A, timing must be 10mins 21secs or below. but i was just 8secs too slow. so close yet so far. haha.
so yeah, overall i scored 27 points. 6 point more than the required 21 points to get gold. proud of myself man. haha. secret to getting gold? 3 simple steps - play sports, never smoke or drink, keep doing workouts. thats my principle. (:
im worried much when i go NS. reason is, with my good achievements for NAPFA, i might be dumped in Pes A. its a place where the fittest guys are in when they serve NS. their trainings all very tough sia. but then good la, once i come out from there hopefully i'll look more sapau. hahaha!
