May You Rest In Peace, coach Siva



i was utterly sad 2 hear abt his death. da news came out on Channel 5 yest n i was reali shocked. he has been my coach wen i used 2 play for Tampines Rovers Under-16. he gav evrytink - his heart n soul to football. a man who nvr let any1 down.



he was a role model for us, wic many of my characteristics came alot frm him. i took his words n put 2 gd use in my daily life. i cld fondly still rmb da jokes all of us used 2 hav wif him at da training grnd. a fren of mine wasnt playing well n coach Siva scolded him. he said, "boot lawa2 nk step cristiano ronaldo tapi main macam sial." haha... well ofcoz, da rest of da team laughed at our dear fren being scolded by him.



at tyms, we purposely made him go mad n he wld start cursing n shouting at us. but den most of da tym wen he's swearing at us, he even laughed at how funny he wld look lyk wenever he's angry n oso bcoz of our childish attitude of alwys fooling arnd during training. haha... dats da tink we love most abt him.



yes, i admit sumtyms i do get scoldings frm him too if i dun do my best. but i knew his intention was 2 make me a better player. he has a big heart n he alwys believed in my ability 2 do well. he taught me so much dat over tym i grew in confidence. i still rmb he told me tis, "u may look small on da field as compared wif othr players but nvr let ur guts down bcoz dats wen u wld actually feel small. u are a great boy wif positive attitude on da field but wif more effort, im sure u can defeat any1 on da field - no matter how big their size are."



there was once during training wen he told us sumtink. we were having our break, drinking plenty of water wen he came. he talked abt our daily lifes bcoz soccer isnt juz abt in da field, it completes our lifes too. he reminded us 2 play hard n study hard at da same tym. he doesnt wan us 2 disappoint our parents by doing bad tinks out in da public bcoz he treats al of us juz lyk his own kids. he dislikes it wen we are rude 2 older pple. he said, "dun ever be lyk those hooligans who has notink better 2 do but loiter arnd da void deck. main guitar la, main basikal la, main motor la, main pompan la, main buah la. smue dorg nk main." and ofcoz aft saying all dat, he wld laugh wif us. haha...



im proud 2 hav been wif him thru ups n downs of da team n 2 hav him as my coach. he died while doing charity. a great man has left us, only his words n deeds remain in our hearts. my prayers are wif him n his famli members...
